Sue came to see me as she felt she was stuck in a make-up rut. She had been using the same make-up since the 80's and was just feeling like the products and shades weren't working for her anymore, so doing nothing for her face.
I first concentrated on making sure Sue uses the right products to prep with, so this means using a really good cleanser and moisturiser to suit her skin.
Next came foundation. Sue was concerned about her under eye darkness and really wanted to learn how to counteract that. I showed her what to apply and how to apply it, making it as easy and as quick as possible for her. I then corrected under her eyes and concealed too, powdering only where needed.
Brows where next - Sue had had her brows tattooed on, and unfortunately it had left an orange tinge to the area. I had to cancel this out first and then I applied a soft shade to enhance her brows, thickening them slightly for a more youthful appearance.
Eyes were next, I used textures and products to define and enhance Sue's beautiful eyes. Sue did love her trusty blue eyeliner, and I didn't want to say she had to stop using it. So we opted for a Blue cobalt shade but kept it only on the upper lash line. I also showed her how to apply some false eyelashes, so she could use them for an evening out or special occasion.
I used bronzer to create a lovely warmth to the skin and then on the apples of the cheeks a pop of blush and highlighter.
We finished with a gorgeous pop of colour on the lips, layering to ensure it stayed on.
Sue felt amazing when she left as she is a real glamour puss and loves looking and feeling her best...exactly what the right make-up should do for you!
