Caroline was bought a make-up lesson voucher by her Husband. She was concerned with under eye darkness, eye shadow and wanted to know how to look like herself but a little bit better...no problem!
We concentrated on getting her skincare right first, to create the best base for her skin. I then evened her skin out using a foundation stick - (so easy, especially for people who are short on time and are not used to wearing foundation.) I then corrected underneath Caroline's eyes, using a corrector and blended well. I then applied a concealer and blended well again, then set with a little bit of powder, (slightly under the eye and then down the t-zone.)
Brows were next - I showed Caroline how to define them using an eyeshadow and then setting them with a brow gel.
Eyes - Caroline isn't used to wearing eyeshadow and I wanted to show her how easy it is, once you get the right eyeshadow product, texture and technique. I used a cream eyeshadow stick, which is so easy to use, using a natural bronze shade. I skipped gel liner and used a MAC soft brown eye pencil, along the top lash line and slightly underneath the eye. Finishing with black mascara. I then applied some natural false eyelashes.
Cheeks were next - I used a bit of bronzer, around the face and over the nose, to warm up the skin tone. I wanted to keep a dewy glow to Caroline's cheeks, so opted for a cream blush, blending away to the hair line with my fingers. I then used a Charlotte Tilbury highlighter on the top of the cheekbones, (Wonderglow.)
Lips - were kept nude and natural - so we went for a classic combo of lip pencil, lip colour and then a shimmer lip gloss from Bobbi Brown.
Caroline felt amazing and I loved helping her, such a warm, beautiful lady. She even wrote me a lovely review on Facebook -
"I would like to thank Tina Brocklebank for being an amazing warm friendly lady with total knowledge of makeup and techniques.
