As you may know, I often receive products to try out and review. I also include these when I can, in my make-up columns in The Journal magazines. One of the products was Embryolisse lait-crème concentre, which I love and actually use on myself anyway, so it is easy reviewing this lovely product.
Firstly, I love the packaging, as as its in a tube, it is hygienically used, (so no fingers dipping in and out of a pot), and also there is no waste, you can squeeze the tube and even cut open the tube to make sure there is nothing left inside. This product is simply a lovely moisturiser to use for all skin types. No wonder it is dubbed the "24 hour miracle cream" and is a cult fave since the 50's. This is a 6-in-1 product! primer, moisturiser, remover, mask, aftershave cream and great for baby care! It has a combination of ingredients of natural origin, rich in essential fatty acids and vitamins. Not only that, it is paraben free and not tested on animals.
It has a creamy texture and leaves a satin film. I love using this on myself, if I have say a tinted moisturiser that isn't moisturising enough, I will mix it in so it then has the correct consistency. I also love to use it on my clients prior to applying any make-up. You only need a small amount, a little goes a long way! at £13 for 30 ml a must-have in anyone's make-up bag! The only things I don't like about this product is that it has no SPF and also have to keep ordering more of it! (as mentioned, you could mix with another product containing SPF to ensure protection.)
Jojoba day cream - This is a lovely product and I am definitely a fan! I was a little apprehensive trying this out, as my skin can tend to be a bit sensitive, but it was fine. The only thing was it is quite a rich cream, so if you have oily/combination skin, you would probably be better using this as a night cream. As it is rich, you only need a small amount. I also gave my Mum a little of this to try out, and she loved this product, she has dry/mature skin.
It is a botanically derived moisturiser, enriched with green tea, and smells devine! I do love the packaging, it has quite a unique shape to the bottle and looks lovely on my dressing table, its a lovely matte glass bottle too. As I am a little obsessed with SPF, I was disappointed, again, that this had no SPF in it - perhaps as most foundations have it in now, companies are not bothering? At £31.95 a good price for a great product, when you think most high end moisturisers can be anything from £30 - £70!
Puffy the eye bag slayer - I have been known to adorn these little beauties from time to time! I do suffer with tired eyes and dark circles, so after popping them in the fridge to cool, I gave these a whirl. They are little curved patches that you place underneath your eyes and then leave on for up to 10 minutes, (although I have been known to fall asleep with them on and then wake up having to search for them!) The ingredients include green tea and Aloe vera and for 3 patches for £6 a steal! They are formulated to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, (yes please!) and to revitalise the delicate eye area. I found these very refreshing and especially so if you are going out for the evening, so apply them after cleansing your face, remove and then apply your usual moisturiser...and voila! you look refreshed and ready for anything! Definitely worth using and highly recommend!
